My name is Robbie Morrison and I am the Mission Development Worker for the west of Scotland. I am writing to let you know of an upcoming live Webinar I am organising with Michael Harvey and Martin Fair, entitled "God's call in the time of Covid-19", which will be held on Thursday 3rd September, from 10am -12pm.
Due to Covid-19 there has never been a more important time for Christians to be in contact with those around them. Weeks of self-isolation, economic disruption, disappointment, anxiety and pressure have impacted our neighbours, friends and families and left many with big questions about life, themselves and even God.
In addition, there are signs that Covid-19 has created a mental health crisis, with more than 1 in 4 having experienced ‘significant mental distress' according to recent research. Michael Harvey has been encouraging Christians across Scotland with a simple way in which we can connect with the big questions and the distress in our communities. The process is called Acorn and it is a simple and prayerful way for each of us to respond. In this webinar we will hear how this has been working and how we all can get involved. We will also hear from individuals around the country who have been working with Michael during this time, as they share their experiences.
If you would be interested in joining us for this event, please email Diane Knowles at [email protected] to receive the link for the Webinar.
