Music lovers are in for a treat at St Vigeans
Church next month. Internationally-renowned
pianist Joseph Long is appearing in concert on
Sunday, March 8, as guest of the Arbroath
Piano Club and the church.
As one of Scotland’s finest pianists, Joseph is
a familiar face on the concert circuit in the UK
and abroad and has a wide musical repertoire
from Bach to the present day. A gifted
communicator, he is a teacher of advanced
piano studies at the North East of Scotland
Music School and Aberdeen University. As
well as traditional “classical” piano, Joseph’s
specialisms include jazz improvisation.
But it’s not all piano music. Also taking part in
the programme is local favourite soprano Maggie Findlay, accompanied by Derek
Buchan.
It’s an afternoon not to be missed and we’re hoping for a good turnout – so tell all
your friends. The concert starts at 3pm. Tickets are £10, which includes refreshments
